Calvin Smith

SECRETARY

Calvin Smith is a commercial bankruptcy lawyer at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, PLLC. After obtaining his B.A. from Geneva College, summa cum laude, and his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law, he began his career as a law clerk to the then Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia. He is married to fellow board member and president of Bright Path Nonprofit, Ltd., Teri Erickson Smith, and they have four children and two grandchildren. Calvin and Teri volunteer with college students at Downtown Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, North Carolina, and he previously served as a commissioner and coach for two youth basketball leagues. He enjoys golf, watching college sports, especially football and basketball, working in his yard, and spending time at the beach. Teri and Calvin planted the seed for what is now Bright Path in 2023.
